Job Summary:
Duapa Agenda Limited is in search of a seasoned Operations Manager – Procurement to lead and optimize its procurement and supply chain functions. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in the agro commodities sector, particularly with Cashew nuts and Soybean. As a critical member of our team, you will ensure efficient procurement processes, effective supply chain management, and high-quality standards. This role requires a dynamic leader aged between 30-35 years with a proven track record in procurement and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Management:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to source Cashew nuts and Soybean in a cost-effective and timely manner.
- Identify and build relationships with reliable suppliers, negotiating contracts to secure optimal terms and conditions.
- Monitor market trends and conditions to anticipate potential supply chain disruptions and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Supply Chain Operations:
- Oversee the entire supply chain process from procurement through to delivery, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coordinate with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth operations and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Implement and manage inventory systems to optimize stock levels and reduce costs, ensuring minimal waste and efficient resource use.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure that all procured commodities meet company quality standards and comply with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers to address quality issues and drive improvements in product quality.
- Team Management:
- Lead and manage a team of procurement and supply chain professionals, providing direction, support, and mentorship.
- Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and foster professional development to enhance team capabilities.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present regular reports on procurement and supply chain performance, including cost analysis, supplier performance, and inventory levels.
- Utilize data and analytics to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings, driving operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years in a similar role within the agro commodities sector, with a focus on Cashew nuts, Soybean, Shea nuts, Cocoa, or similar products.
- Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management, with a track record of successful supplier negotiation and contract management.
- Education:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Procurement Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Skills and Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of the agro commodities market and supply chain processes, including sustainable and ethical sourcing practices.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and inventory management systems.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a strategic approach to managing procurement and supply chain activities.
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
