Job Summary

GIGI Beauty Bar is seeking a dedicated and personable Customer Care Specialist to manage our front desk and day-to-day customer relations. In this role, you will be responsible for greeting clients, managing our Shortcuts Booking System, and supporting salon operations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about customer service, have experience with booking systems, and be proactive in assisting both clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Greeting and Service:
    • Welcome clients warmly and professionally as they enter the salon.
    • Ensure a positive first impression by providing exceptional customer service and addressing client queries.
  • Booking System Management:
    • Handle the Shortcuts Booking System, which includes scheduling appointments, managing stylist columns, and communicating with staff.
    • Monitor appointment availability and ensure smooth day-to-day salon operations.
  • Opening and Closing Procedures:
    • Open and close the salon, ensuring all start/end-of-day tasks are completed efficiently, including daily financial activities.
    • Perform administrative tasks related to salon operations.
  • Retail Sales Assistance:
    • Assist clients with product purchases and provide advice on beauty products that align with their needs.
    • Maintain product knowledge and keep updated on current beauty trends to enhance sales efforts.
  • Payments and Transactions:
    • Handle payments promptly and efficiently, ensuring accurate record-keeping for all transactions.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Be an active and positive member of the salon team, assisting colleagues and helping with general salon needs.
    • Support staff and management in delivering a top-notch client experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education:
    • Minimum qualification of a degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in a salon, hospitality, or beauty industry.
    • Experience with Shortcuts Booking System or similar booking systems is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Customer Service Excellence: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff.
    • Multi-tasking and Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
    • Professionalism: Must maintain a professional demeanor, look presentable, and speak good English.
    • Computer Proficiency: Admin and computer skills are highly advantageous, including experience with booking systems and basic office software.
    • Team Spirit: Proactive attitude and willingness to help the team, as well as the ability to lead and delegate tasks when necessary.
