Job Summary:
Sylprin Company Limited, a key player in the construction industry, is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join its team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the manufacturing and maintenance of mechanical systems and devices. Working across diverse industries such as automotive, aerospace, energy, manufacturing, and robotics, this position requires expertise in mechanical engineering, strong analytical skills, and project management abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development:
- Design and develop mechanical systems, devices, and components such as engines, machines, and tools.
- Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software to ensure precise engineering designs.
- Conduct feasibility studies and analyze design specifications to ensure technical and financial viability.
- Project Management:
- Lead mechanical engineering projects from concept to production, ensuring deadlines and budgetary constraints are met.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, designers, and project managers.
- Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure the timely delivery of parts, materials, and services.
- Prototyping and Testing:
- Build and evaluate prototypes to assess their performance, durability, and safety.
- Analyze test results and make necessary design adjustments to optimize the functionality and efficiency of the systems.
- Ensure all designs meet industry standards and safety regulations.
- Problem Solving and Troubleshooting:
- Identify and resolve technical issues during the design, manufacturing, or operational phases of mechanical systems.
- Implement innovative engineering solutions to improve overall system efficiency and reduce costs.
- Use advanced simulation software and analysis tools to predict and resolve potential performance issues.
- Maintenance and Supervision:
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and operation of machinery and mechanical systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Conduct routine performance evaluations and inspections to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including reports, manuals, and operational procedures.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to clients, management, and other stakeholders effectively.
- Maintain technical records and ensure that designs meet regulatory and safety standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education:
- A Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
- Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the construction or manufacturing sector.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software for creating technical designs and models.
- Familiarity with simulation software and engineering analysis tools to assess performance and troubleshoot systems.
- Project Management:
- Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery while managing resources efficiently.
- Strong coordination skills to work with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- Strong analytical capabilities to conduct feasibility studies, evaluate prototypes, and troubleshoot system issues.
- Creative and solution-oriented mindset for improving mechanical systems and reducing costs.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting, documentation, and collaboration with teams.
